How The Eye Works

Vision is the most important sense to the human body, we need it more than any other sense in our day to day lives, and it is key to our survival. Vision works by converting light signals into images in the brain. This works by light passing through to the cornea, where the light is bent and focused so that it can pass through. Then the light goes through to the retina where photoreceptors convert the information into electrical impulses for the brain to understand. The brain then creates the image for us to see.

Genius Hour Project

Music is a part of everyday lives everywhere you look, but I wanted to find out if it has any real meaning to it. Does music change how we react or in the way we live, Or is it just a fun hobby that gets our feet tapping? I decided to devote my project to finding out. Everyday, I will listen to a different genre of music, whether it be rock, country, or even classical music. Then, after my day is over, I will record how my day went and how I felt about it. After I have gone a full week of this procedure, I can compare the results and see if it really affected my day at all. This project is something that really interests me, music is a big part of my life, and this project seems like something I can enjoy while doing it.

Roberto Clemente (My Hero)

Today I want to tell you about my hero, Roberto Clemente. maybe most of you don’t know about him, so let me concede you.

Roberto Clemente grew up in the unprosperous country of Puerto Rico, and as a child there he had very little. However Roberto didn’t have “little’ dreams. He had always wanted to join the MLB. At first he was declined because of his race and color. But this didn’t stop him, not at all!

He believed God would get him through his troubles and guide him. And he was right because he later was accepted into the MLB because the board finally recognized his talents.

But Roberto never forgot his friends and family who had helped him along the way. He decided to donate his wealth to the less fortunate. For years he gave money to those in need.

However, on a trip to Nicaragua delivering supplies to the poor his plane crashed, killing everyone on the plane. Roberto Clemente died on December 31st,1972.
Roberto gave so much to those who had so little. One day I hope to be just like him.
